Character Creation
The best place to start with any Role Playing Game is to create a character to get a feel for how it works.

Species
Your character will belong to one of the sapient Species of Seekers Zeal which are collectively known as people in game. Pick whichever species catches your eye. More info is available on their individual pages.
Each Species has their own history, preferences, natural advantages, and customs. What I have written here is by no means the only option for their interpritation. Please create bespoke factions and civilizations if you want. Consider the species of your character as their foundation.
Each Species will give you a few benefits to your character:
- Overall +2 Bonus to Stats
- +1 to three different skills
- Two of their six Traits
Classes
Characters will have a Class that will define their starting abilities. Classes are the framework of your character to allow them to be built the way you want.
Each Class will give the following benefits to your character:
- Overall +4 Bonus to Stats
- +1 to Four different skills
- A Class Feature
- One Ability
- Weapons, Armor, and Equipment
Improvements
As your character interacts with the world around them they will gain Experience. Experience may be spent on various benefits to improve your character's capabilities.
You wont start with any experience unless you GM says otherwise. Feel free to look through and plan out what you would like to do with your character.
Full list of improvements is here.
Step-by-Step Character Creation
Step One: Character Sheet
First of all, you will need a Character Sheet. A Characeter Sheet is where you will record all the details about the person you create. You may download the files at the top of this page.
Your Character Sheet has space at the top to fill in basic info, and a space on the second page to write with more detail about your Character.
Step Two: Pick a Species
Secondly, you need to pick a species from the list above. From your species you will gain bonus stats, bonus skills, and two Traits which are Abilities that the species may possess naturally.
Don't worry about recommendations or suggestions from others at this point. This is a character just for you.
Once you choose your Species you can do the following:
- Improve the Stats specified by the Species.
- Improve the Skills as specified.
- Choose two Traits from the available six.
Step Three: Pick a Class
Similarly to how you picked a Species, you character will also have a class. Choose whichever Class appeals to you.
Once you have chosen a Class you will do the following:
- Add your Class Feature to your "Features" section.
- Improve the Stats specified by the Class.
- Improve the Skills specified by the Class.
- Choose Equipment.
- Choose an Ability from your Class List
- If your Class is capable of Spellcasting, You will need to read that section to get more info.
