Seeker's Zeal

The people of the known world have been united since the darkest age of our history, collective tribulation forging bonds of cooperation between what were the staunchest foes. So long has this been our way that most scoff at the idea of Mankind waring against the Elves or that the domain of the southern swamplands were once hostile tribes. It therefore falls upon those who cherish history to remind all who will listen of the old ways and how they nearly lead to extinction.

We who learn the past must hold this solemn duty. Those whoe forget such a crucial part of the past will do nothing but lead us to it once again. Even now the great kingdoms of old hold knives to each other throats while the storm gathers off the coast. Portents casts by mystics affirm what men of learning once chronicled. One can only hope that people will remain to chronicle after the next dark age.
