Weapon Traits

2H

This weapon requires both hands to wield correctly. Using it with only one does not allow the relevant weapon mastery to be used.


AP(X)

This weapon treats the Protection of a Hit Target by the X value for the Attack.


Axiomatic

This weapon is designed with a focus on mathematical angles and geometric patterns, making it more effective against Horrors and The Fae. This Trait must be taken at the creation of the weapon.


Cleave

This weapon can cut through one opponent and into another. When an enemy is downed by an attack with this weapon you may elect to roll the damage die of the weapon on another target adjacent to the original.


Concealed

This weapon is small enough to hide on one's person without raising suspicion.


Concussive

On a critical hit, the target takes a stun BSvs Your Strength.


Critical (X)

This weapon has a wider critical threat range than your average weapon. Rolling the X value or higher will be a critical hit.

Example: A weapon with Critical(18) will critically hit if an 18 or higher is rolled as part of the Attack Test.


Behead

This Weapon automatically Critacally Hits if it hits a prone target.


Hemorrhage

The target takes a Bleed BSvs Your Strength on a critical hit.


Hewing

The target's protection is reduced by an amount equal to your Strength on a Critical Hit (minimum zero).


Lethal

This weapon always does maximum damage on a critical hit.


Misfire(x)

This weapon has a chance to malfunction when used. If the Attack roll is equal to or below the X value then the weapon jams. To clear a jam you must take a (Ranged Combat or Another Appropriate Skil) Test Sv the Rarity of the weapon to remove the jam. A weapon is considered unloaded after the jam is cleared.


Multi-Hit(X)

This weapon rolls damage X times when hitting a Target.


Non-Lethal

This weapon can do damage meant to knock someone unconcious instead of killing them.


Painful

This weapon inflicts severe agony upon the target. Targets Hit take a penalty to Fear and Terror Tests equal to your Strength.


Parry

This weapon is capable of deflecting blows away from the wielder. You may the following action while this weapon is readied:

Parry - Reaction - Add your Melee Weapon Skill to your defense against the next Melee attack against you.


Range (X,Y)

This Weapon may attack a target within the Xu and Yu. A zero in the first increment means it may be used in direct combat.


Reach (X)

This weapon may attack a target within Xu.


Reload(x)

This weapon requires an action to reload equal to the X value and cannot be fired again until this has been done.


Riposte

A weapon designed to deflect to and strike quickly while the enemy is vulnerable.

Riposte - Reaction - Add your Melee Weapon Skill to your defense against the next Melee attack against you. A successful Parry allows you to make a Free Attack Action against that person who triggered the Reaction.


Silent

This weapon makes very little noise that only the most well trained ears could detect.


Skewer

The target takes a Snared BSvs Your Strength on a critical hit.


Sure Step

This Weapon allows you to Reroll Difficult Terrain Tests while readied.


Sweeping

This weapon may select multiple targets in an arc as its targets, but takes a -2 penalty to the test for each target selected
